Simply put this phase of training is preparing your body for the work to come in the phases during the season. The goal is to prepare your mind and body for the upcoming work in future phases. Be patient in this phase as it will set you up for the goals ahead

The focus of the phase is to focus on technique, cardiovascular conditioning, musculoskeletal resilience, stability and strength development

A breakdown by discipline
– Strength – Working on – Power, posture, mobility, stability and coordination
– Swimming – Working on – Technique & conditioning – Using drills and intervals for both endurance and speed
– Bike – Aerobic capacity and tissue resilience
– Run – Efficiency and tissue resilience

Tips for phase
– Be patient, don’t chase fitness but rather become consistent, know the focus of the session and work towards it. Don’t be in a rush, we are preparing you for future phases
