The Preparation phase of training

Simply put this phase of training is preparing your body for the work to come in the phases during the season

The focus of the phase is to focus on technique, cardiovascular conditioning, musculoskeletal resilience, stability and strength development

A breakdown by discipline
– Strength – Posture, mobility and stability, coordination

– Swimming – Technique and conditioning, for dry land swim training, swim cords can also be included

– Bike – Aerobic capacity and tissue resilience

– Run – Efficiency and tissue resilience

Tips for phase
– Be patient, don’t chase fitness but rather become consistent, know the focus of the session and work towards it. Don’t be in a rush, we are preparing you for future phases

Success for the phase
– Improved technical ability, tissue resilience, health and strong motivation for the journey ahead
